life is good.

i have discovered that i loooooove cream cheese sandwiches. and if i still ate meat, i'd probably put salami in there. but no. it might make me ill.

but yeah, life is looking up! work is good, linen crew is no more, and Clyde just munched a cricket. hehe

whoa! and another one bites the dust! he must be hungry. makes sense.

i love how the gutload for the crickets is green, and you can see this faint greenish hue in them when they're full of it.

ah, yes, today went well. uneventful, and well. and it appears that Clyde's day is going just fine, too.

i'm going to go make myself a sandwich (filled with cream cheese, of course), and watch "Benny & Joon" or however you spell Benny/Benni/Bennie. :)

Reading: Deception Point by Dan Brown (almost finished!! any recommendations?)
Listening to: "Blackbird" by The Beatles

hilariosity ensued...

Mechanical Electronic Gratification and Hazardous Assassination Neohuman

ah, yes... my inner mechanical tendencies are finally showing.

(thanks, Tits, for having this up)

eat potatoes, everyone! i'll be back later

Sleepless in Assland

but not for long.

i'm going to try Linen Crew again tomorrow, and see how it goes. i very well may be writing it off prematurely, as i do with lots of things (especially foods). so, who knows.

otherwise... life is good. taking it a day at a time, and loving the support all along the way. i passed my CLEP (College Level Examination Program) test, so i don't have to redo CORE at all (thank goodness!!). in the next few days i'll hopefully receive my complete test score, so i know exactly how well i did, but not having to take CORE again is such a relief. for those of you who haven't heard my griping about CORE before, it's this freshman-level writing and speaking class that's mandatory if you don't transfer into SOU with the credit in the right classes. it's a waste.

what else.... oh! i just RSVP'd to my sister's wedding. no, not Anya, but my older not-exactly-biologically-related sister Lindsay (i hope i've already explained my family... if not, then another time). anywho, yeah, the wedding is in September, in Portland. yay! it's about time they got married.

i think that might be it for tonight... ok, i can't think of anything else, and my teeth need a good brushing, so i'ma take care of that. cheers!

oops!

slept through my alarm this morning. this means that i didn't get to talk to the Linen Crew boss, and let him know that the two schedules for my two different jobs are too different for my body to handle. it's almost impossible to be waking up at 2 pm Friday through Sunday, and expect myself to be able to get up at 8 am Monday morning ready to work.

i think i'll enjoy the extra time, and hopefully i'll be able to work better at the job that actually means something to me: enjoying life (and yes, being a campus cop as well). i like having days where i don't have anything i have to do, and wind up hanging out on the couch drinking ginger ale, munching chips, and watching a movie. it's lovely.

and if i get too bored with only working three days a week, then maybe i'll join linen crew again. but right now, i need to slow my life down enough to be able to think. running myself ragged doesn't prove anything other than that i was stupid enough to think of myself as a superhero. which, believe you me, i'm not.

alright, sleepy time. have a good day!

guess who's up? me!!!

yeah... wish sleep would come. but no dice. oh well.

life has become a fairly odd yet completely monotonous chore. but..... here's a highlight from today:

an Arabic foreign exchange student asked Tim for help with reading something because his english was a bit shaky (probably still is). anywho, Tim glanced at the letter and passed it on to me. so i got to read, slowly, a love letter from a girl named Carla to this guy. favourite lines:

"will we marry and have children, (sic) will we say good-bye?"

"i love you with all my heart"

anywho, yeah... slowly reading a love letter to this guy, and when i'm done, he tells us that this chick is very jealous of when he even responds to another female saying "hi" to him, and that is why he cut it off with her.

maybe you had to have been there, but i thought it was pretty damn funny. apparently, i was bright red by the end of my read-aloud.

have a good day, all!
